GENEALOGY OF THE GERICKE FAMILY |

The GERICKE family started with Johann Gottfried who came to the Cape as a wagon maker. He later moved to George, where the wood came from, and ever since then the family has been involved with wood. The major concentration of GERICKE's is in the small town of Blanco outside George.
It is therefore not surprising that the majority of the church records which refer to this family are found along the coastal towns stretching from Cape Town to George/Oudtshoorn via Swellendam. The table below shows when the various congregations were established.
